Fantastic knife and palatte painting. Reminds me of my Grandmas.......both immigrants from Europe and always totally bundled up and looking round and small come winter. LOVE IT!

Hi Reb-so many things I like about this painting...the look on the lady's face,greatcolor harmony,well executed brush strokes,the texture, the light, the shadows-all goes to make a good painting. I especially like the use of the blue color.Give yourself a pat on the back! marlene

my favorite!! there is something very reminescent about this image and i can't quite put my finger on it...which makes it all the more intriguing!! i just feel like i wouldn't be surprised to see it in an art history book of memorable genres! beautifully done!
